People often get bored with doing the same routine over and over again. This is why facial exercises may not appeal to a lot of people. One way to prevent getting bored with doing these exercises is by making your own so that it does not become routine and end up falling asleep while doing the exercises.



Facial exercises work similar to when going to the gym. You apply resistance to your muscles by lifting weights which will lead to an increase in their mass and tone. Exercising the face by stretching the skin to its limit works similar to the weights. You can increase the tone of your muscles by pulling on the skin on your face everyday.



With the increased tone of the facial muscles, they will then be able to pull stronger on the skin on the face. With this, the skin will be stretched further thus increasing its firmness and leading to a decreased depth of existing wrinkles. As long as you continue doing the exercises, you will eventually get rid of almost all your wrinkles making you look several years younger.




An exercise that you can do for wrinkles around the eyes is by raising your eyebrows as high as you can while simultaneously pulling down on your eyelids. This strengthens the muscles around the eyes and the forehead which will result in fewer frown lines as well as crow's feet.



Another exercise that you can do for the cheeks is by smiling as hard as you can while pulling down on your cheeks. This allows the cheek muscles to be stretched which will decrease the appearance of laugh lines and sagging cheeks.



Aside from wrinkles, facial exercises can also improve the appearance of the lips. Alternately puckering your lips and smiling as hard as you can help improve the appearance of the lips. You may also try blowing and sucking which can help make your lips appear fuller.



Now that you know how to do several exercises with your face, and you also know that you have to exert effort on the muscles of your face, you can start doing these exercises and even start to make you own exercises once you get bored. Also, remember that the skin has to be pulled at a direction that it is not often folded so that you oppose the normal way of how the skin folds, this way, wrinkles will have less chances of forming.




Facial exercises may seem a lot harder than the other ways of anti-aging. But its benefits are really good and as long as you stay patient, you will eventually obtain the results that you want. You can try some different variations of the exercises so that you do not become bored very easily with doing the same thing over and over again.
